Logging Off

When you finish viewing the FAS screens, you first sign off the FAS system and then log off the mainframe to end your online session. To use another application listed on the TPX Menu before you log off, see Accessing Other Applications.

How to Sign Off the FAS System 

If the current screen is Screen 01 through Screen 18, type SO (for sign off) in the SCREEN field and press the Enter key twice to return to the TPX Menu. 

If the current screen is Screen 24: 

  1. Press the PF3 key to return to Screen 01. 
  2. On Screen 01, type SO in the SCREEN field and press the Enter key twice to return to the TPX Menu. 
If the current screen is the Transaction List displayed as a result of your entries on Screen 24: 
  1. Press the PF3 key to return to Screen 24. 
  2. On Screen 24, press the PF3 key to return to Screen 01. 
  3. On Screen 01, type SO in the SCREEN field and press the Enter key twice to return to the TPX Menu. 

How to Log Off the Mainframe 

Follow the instructions above for signing off the FAS system. When you return to the TPX Menu, the cursor will be blinking on the command line. Type /F (finish) or /K (kill) and press the ENTER key. 

When the NSIT logon screen appears, disconnect from the University mainframe computer in whatever manner has been established for your workstation.
