SUBJECT: ADDITIONAL VISITOR PARKING TO SERVE CAMPUS
DATE: January 7, 2002

The Facilities Services-Parking Office is pleased to announce the opening of additional visitor parking near the main Quadrangles. Twenty spaces in the Lexington parking lot were converted to visitor parking from permit parking. This new Lexington visitor parking lot has its own entrance/exit, which is located on University Avenue, just north of 59th Street.

The Lexington visitor parking lot will use a technology known as "Pay and Display." When a visitor pulls up to the entry of this parking lot, they will insert enough money to pay for the time they expect to park. The rates are $4 per hour, up to a maximum of $16. After payment, the customer will be issued a receipt, which is then to be displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle. Failure to display the receipt or parking beyond the allotted time will result in a parking citation being issued by the University, and possible towing of your vehicle.

The Lexington visitor parking lot will open January 14, 2002.
