Continuing Recharge Operation

Continuing recharge operations must submit the appropriate Appendix C materials to the Manager of Current Unrestricted Funds each spring as part of the annual University's budget preparation process. The operation should include a description of any significant changes in the size, purpose, or scope of the operation anticipated during the upcoming fiscal year. The Manager will review the materials for compliance with OMB Circular A-21 guidelines, accounting and budgeting requirements.

A recharge operation's fund balance should break-even (i.e., Ledger 0 account control 3120 = $0) over time. Therefore, when the future year's budget is prepared before the close of the current fiscal year, it should include a projection of the fund balance that will be brought forward into the new budget year.
